"Stress-Management Strategies for Brides: Advice from a Wedding Videographer"

Updated: Apr 16

Hey there, soon-to-be newlyweds! As someone who's been behind the lens capturing countless wedding days, I've witnessed firsthand the whirlwind of emotions and stress that can come with it. But fear not, because I'm here to share my top expert tips for keeping wedding day stress at bay and ensuring you have the magical day you've always dreamed of:

Happy man and woman, laughing and kissing

Create a Detailed Timeline:

Start by creating a detailed timeline for your wedding day, outlining each event and its scheduled time. Share this timeline with your bridal party, vendors, and anyone else involved in the day's festivities. Having a clear plan in place will help alleviate stress and ensure everyone is on the same page.

Delegate Responsibilities:

Don't try to do it all yourself – delegate tasks to trusted friends, family members, or your wedding planner. Whether it's setting up decor, coordinating transportation, or handling vendor communication, delegating responsibilities will lighten your load and allow you to focus on enjoying the day.

Take Time for Yourself:

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the day, don't forget to carve out some time for you and your partner. Once you’re married I would HIGHLY recommend taking a 5 minute stroll with your partner and just enjoy each others company and simply reflect on what just happened... YOU GOT MARRIED!

Stay Hydrated and Well-Nourished:

It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of the day and forget to take care of yourself, but staying hydrated and well-nourished is crucial for maintaining your energy levels and managing stress. Be sure to drink plenty of water, eat nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day, and don't skip breakfast! I know I sound like a parent saying this! But honestly, you need to pace yourself throughout the day! We want high energy ALL DAY, not just for half of it!

Don't Stress Over Imperfections:

No wedding is perfect, and that's okay! Embrace imperfection and roll with the punches when things inevitably don't go as planned. Remember, it's the unexpected moments that often make for the best memories. And honestly the imperfections that you see, your guests will not notice! SO DON’T STRESS.

Trust Your Vendors:

You've handpicked a team of talented vendors to bring your vision to life, so trust them to do their jobs. Have faith in their expertise and ability to handle any challenges that may arise, and resist the urge to micromanage. Trusting your vendors will allow you to relax and enjoy the day knowing you're in good hands.

Remember the Big Picture:

At the end of the day, remember why you're here – to celebrate your love and commitment to each other surrounded by your nearest and dearest. Keep the big picture in mind and focus on the joy and excitement of marrying your soulmate. Everything else is just icing on the (wedding) cake!
